The other guy said something cranky to her, and she said something to the effect that *I* had awoken in a much happier mood, but—with a smile and wink in my direction—she noted that she didn’t care to repeat whatever it was I said. With a sigh of “oh gawd” I plopped my head back down and pretended to be someplace else. :/
